Knowledge test
After you have applied for a taxi, private hire or dual driver’s licence or a private hire operator licence, you will need to book your knowledge test. Please note you can only book your knowledge test after first submitting your licence application.
Book a knowledge testYour first knowledge test is included with your application fee. If you fail your first test, you will need to rebook your test and pay a fee of £16. If you fail five knowledge tests, your application will be refused.
You will need to come to our offices at Three Rivers House, Northway, Rickmansworth, WD3 1RL to complete your test. There is a pay and display car park directly outside, as well as on Northway.
